No. 8--Ragweed
I need more vases. I'm only 8 into my 100 bouquets, and I am wishing for another vase! You can see where else this one has made an appearance here and here. Daniel Smith watercolor--ultra marine blue, hansa yellow medium, pemanenty yellow deep, and burnt umber. Plus some crayon over the top. via Blogger http://ift.tt/2fmiKb2 September 25, 2017 at 09:40AM
Turtles Stampeding Through Peanut Butter
Yesterday, I ran (that is a synonym for slog) the Air Force Half Marathon at the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH. It was, they said, the hottest it's ever been for their race. There wasn't much to be done except keep moving slowly and watch the fields. So, spotted, and reinterpreted (and the world starts to take on a special colorful glow at a certain point during a long run on a hot day) a field oak. Watercolors: Daniel Smith: Quin gold, phthalo blue rs, and quin violet. Paper: Fabriano 300 lb rough via Blogger http://ift.tt/2jAT4MQ September 17, 2017 at 02:02PM
Tippy Canoe
If you can't tell what changed recently--I used more crayon to intensify some of the colors and added a movement or line to connect some of the shapes. If you're wondering, Tippy Canoe comes from Tippecanoe, which was a battle. Logically, I use it to more literally like a canoe that is about to tip over. via Blogger http://ift.tt/2iTSrxt September 03, 2017 at 12:52PM |
